I don't usually write reviews but I felt compelled to do so considering the consistency of service I've been receiving at this establishment. I've been coming to Standard Grooming for some time now with my 14-year old nephew for his regular hair cuts with Vince, one of a team of 3 master groomers. First and foremost, I'm consistently impressed with how professional they are (you make an appointment and your time is respected, they seamlessly handle the flow of their clients, etc.) The salon is also never packed with a bunch of people like many barber-shops and salons I've been to before, which is especially appreciated during this pandemic. Most importantly, Vince ALWAYS gives my nephew an amazing service! His cuts are always so top-notch, and ever since I started bringing my nephew here to Vince, he's made it *very* clear that he doesn't want to go to any other barber shop! 🙂 I was happy to hear this considering impressing a 14-year old is not always easy! Other notable features are an amazing, friendly, and CLEAN atmosphere. They have a phenomenal playlist going every time I come in so the music/vibes are always right! And not to mention...the shop is filled with beautiful, well curated art AND smells AMAZING. I can't stress enough that Standard Grooming lives up to their name and they've raised the bar with regards to what it means to be a men's grooming salon. I highly recommend them!

I’ve watched them all work while getting my cut in the chair and they all possess phenomenal craftsmanship, the interior of the shop is super unique, and I love that this shop is also a brand — shows that they mean business!

I get my haircut with barber Vince due to my availability being aligned with his at one point and he always got me right. I’m a fan of the in-shop merch and ease of checkout! Definitely gonna’ be a lifetime customer.

I've been coming here for the past year, cutting my hair with Troy. Man is passionate about cutting hair, and it shows. He's a lot more consistent than any other barber I've ever had. It's a very nice atmosphere, they use quality products, and you can reserve your chair online ahead of time. All of these luxuries come at a premium of course ($50 for a cut). It is what it is 🤷🏼‍♂️. Also, support local minority businesses! ✊🏼

The Standard Grooming Co. has taken us to the next level! They are giving us a full on EXPERIENCE! From the beautiful mural outside on the building, the waiting area, and the shop! They are truly the STANDARD! This is the shop for DREAMERS AND GAME CHANGERS!

My barber AUTUMN, is the kind of barber I’ve been looking for in my time in NYC! Professional, pays attention to detail, and is a brilliant conversationalist as well! I left out of Autumn’s chair feeling like I’VE ARRIVED! Lol

I'm an author/book Publisher. I called the shop, and asked if any of the barbers were book readers, and if so could I stop in. Autumn, had invited me in. Once inside she told me to take a seat in the lounge area while she finished with her customers haircut.

I watched how she easily interacted with her customer, and also how clean and calm the shop felt. She finished with the cut, came over and greeted me. Her, and the customer winded up purchasing a book. Great shop, great customer service, and most of all their readers.

This place has great vibes, professional groomers who keeps appointments, prices would steep for someone who may get a cut weekly or biweekly but for me it’s not so bad since I get it cut monthly. If you follow the groomer’s pages all of them are very talented. I definitely recommend this groomer.

Vince gave our son his first haircut! He was professional and made my son feel comfortable. He answered all my son's questions and gave him a great cut!
